Embrace Pangaea’s 100% African black soap is literally a multipurpose cleanser used on your hair, face, body, feet, and intimate parts. This traditionally dark colored soap varies in tone from onyx, walnut, almond, to a light caramel. Depending on the country that you are in, African black soap can be known by a few other names such as alata simena or anago soap. This plant-based soap has been handcrafted from Ghanaian recipes that have been handed down for generations. Generally, the plantain skins, palm tree leaves, cocoa pods, and shea tree bark are sun-dried before being burned to ashes. Next water, coconut oil, palm oil, and shea butter are added. Once the mixture is cooked until it solidifies, it is then hand-stirred for at least 24 hours and left to cure for two weeks.
Did you know:
(1) Real African black soap is made on the west coast of Africa, and should not be completely black like charcoal.
(2) Plantain skins give the soap its rich vitamin A & E and iron content.

African Black Soap
Wow what can I say about this Black soap. First let me say I was so mad at myself for waiting till I got low on my soap to reorder because processing and mailing takes way too long. In any event, I love, love, love this Black soap. It smells so nice I love that but it also cleans the body really well. I washed my locs with this black soap and it really cleaned my hair and it smells so nice on my hair, I just love it. Thanks EmbracePangaea.

Africa Black Soap
The Africa Black Soap is the best soap ever. This soap doesn’t irritate the skin, made my body feel good and clean. You can use it around the private area without it burning or aggravate. I have chest acne and see much improvement. The soap made it so easy to wash my hair. My hair sheds and tangles, but the soap stops all that. My hair is so soft and easy to comb.

Black Soap is Powerful
I tried black soap before and didn't like it. I sure now that it wasn't real African Black soap. Well I won't buy anything else. Best soap I have or ever will pit on my body or in my hair. I had problems with water staying in my ears and not being about to hear. This soap rinses clean squeaky clean. My children and I love making the soap into different shapes.
